HIGH ADVENTURE

Troop 445's High Adventure Program is available for our "older" Troop members.  The high adventure program has three goals - To keep our older Scouts involved in the Scouting program by offering more challenging activities; To further instill good leadership skills into these Scouts; and To strengthen the whole Troop by utilizing these Scouts in leadership roles within the Troop.

2001 Continental Divide Trail Trip
2001 Bridge construction on the Cross Timbers Trail
2002 Philmont Expedition 612-D
2005 Philmont Expedition 720-A
2008 Philmont Expedition 618-?

The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America runs three national high adventure bases:

Information on all three national high adventure bases, and a host of local council high adventure bases are available on the internet.

You can find almost all of the forms, files, and information Troop 445 uses to prepare for Philmont expeditions here.
